Privacy policy for “Recipe Tailor” (Receta a medida)
Last updated: 22 October 2026
Who is responsible
The Android app “Recipe Tailor” (called “Receta a medida” in Spanish) is developed and published by Tcs Dev (owner: Jesús Gómez Martín), based in Tres Cantos (Madrid), Spain. Contact: tcsdev.apps@gmail.com.
Summary
- There are no accounts or sign-up, and the app has no servers of its own.
- Your recipes are stored only on your phone.
- Recipe photos and PDFs are read on your own phone and are never sent anywhere.
- The app shows ads from Google AdMob, which may use data from your device according to the consent you give.
Recipes you save
The text of your recipes, their servings and your settings are stored in the app's internal storage on your device. We do not receive them and have no access to them. If Google backup is enabled on your phone, Android may include them in that backup, which Google manages under its own privacy policy. You can delete them by removing each recipe or uninstalling the app.
Photos, camera and files
If you choose to read a recipe from a photo, the camera or a file (image, PDF or text), the app only accesses the file you select or share. It does not ask for permission to see your gallery or your files.
Text recognition happens on the device itself with Google's ML Kit (through Google Play Services). Images are not sent to us or to Google. Photos taken with the camera from the app are stored temporarily and deleted as soon as they have been read. For maintenance purposes, ML Kit may send Google technical diagnostic and usage data (device model, system and app version, performance and errors), without any image content. More information in the ML Kit terms and privacy.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. To serve and measure them and to prevent fraud, Google's SDK may collect the advertising ID, the IP address (from which an approximate location is inferred), device information and interactions with the ads.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for consent through Google's messaging platform when you open the app. You can change it at any time in Settings › Ad privacy options. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. More information on how Google uses data in advertising.
Purchase to remove ads
The purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. We do not receive your payment details; only the confirmation that the purchase exists, so the ads can be turned off.
Ratings
The app may show Google Play's official rating window. Your rating and review go directly to Google Play; the app does not see them.
Legal basis and retention
Recipe data is processed on your device to provide the service you request. Personalised advertising is based on your consent, and non-personalised advertising on the legitimate interest of funding the free app. We do not keep personal data on servers of our own.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 16.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to tcsdev.apps@gmail.com. For data processed by Google AdMob and ML Kit, you can also contact Google. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) or with your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If the way the app handles data changes, we will update this page and the date above.
